Increased Heap Consumption or Consistently Rising in HiveMQ

 Problem

Suppose you observe increased GC time or a consistently rising heap size when the HiveMQ Kafka extension and Control Center are enabled in your cluster, and you are using a version of HiveMQ lower than 4.30. In that case, you may be affected by this issue.

Affected Versions

  • HiveMQ versions lower than 4.30

  • HiveMQ LTS versions lower than 4.28.3

  • HiveMQ LTS versions lower than 4.9.21

 Solution

This issue is resolved in the following HiveMQ versions: 4.30, 4.28.3, and 4.9.21. Please upgrade to one of these versions to fix the problem.
