How to Change Your Account Email Address in HiveMQ Cloud

If you need to update your email address associated with your HiveMQ Cloud account (for example, due to a domain change), this guide explains how to request that change.

📌 Important Notes

  • Email address changes are not currently self-service.

  • You’ll need to contact HiveMQ Support to request the change.

  • Only account owner can initiate this change.


🧾 What You’ll Need

  • Your current account owner email address

  • The new email address you want to use for the owner

  • (Optional) A reason for the change (e.g., domain migration)


🛠️ Steps to Request an Email Address Change

  1. Contact Support

    • Go to HiveMQ Support or use the in-app contact form.

    • Use the subject: Request to Change Account Email Address

  2. Provide the Following Info:

    • Current email: yourname@old-domain.com

    • New email: yourname@new-domain.com

    • Your cluster ID or company name (if applicable)

  3. Wait for Confirmation

    • The HiveMQ team will process your request internally.

    • Once updated, you will receive a verification email at your new address.

  4. Verify the New Email

    • Check your inbox (and spam folder).

    • Follow the link to confirm your new email address.

Hi HiveMQ team,
I would like to change my account email from johnannes.muster@examplesoft.com to admin@bettersoft.com due to a domain migration.
