Yes, you can certainly run a cluster for a partial month and then delete it to prevent additional charges. This flexibility is particularly useful for testing or temporary use cases. Once your testing or specific requirements are complete, follow these steps to delete the cluster through the HiveMQ Cloud UI:

  1. Log in to HiveMQ Cloud using your browser.

  2. In the left-hand menu, select the specific cluster you want to manage.

  3. Scroll down to the "Danger Zone" section.

  4. Click on "Delete Cluster."

This straightforward process allows you to optimize your usage and costs by only running the cluster when needed.

Important Note:

The deletion process will not retain any settings, credentials, or hostname of the deleted cluster.
